CAPES are your Friends...the Cape Blazer
Hello all you curvy fashion divas!
This post is for all you, out there, trying to determine how
to rock the Blazer Cape. This trend has been in and around fashion for a while
now. Many of you will remember when Rebel Wilson, from Pitch Perfect, wore one at the Movie Awards. Here, she's rocking a Adrianna Papellcape cape dress.
You can get something similar at Charlette Russe
Here: Caped Textured Woven Midi Dress for $20.00 (originally $34.99)
However, I really like the cape blazer instead of the cape dress! I think it is so much
easier to do in everyday life, especially when you don't have an awesome premier or formal
event to get to! The fact that part of the piece is a blazer, gives a much more
business casual look, that can be applied to any wardrobe. The cape blazer can
be done in a multitude of ways.
There are a lot of venders who sell the blazer cape
at reasonable prices. I have created the following list of my favorites,
ranging for low cost affordable to much more expensive but amazingly designed blazer
capes.
Charlette Russe:
Has the cheapest option but is very limited in sizing. They only have L and XL avaliable, unfortuniately.
ASOS:
Has a blazer cape for 52.00 pounds (but is again very limited on sizes)
Fashion to Figure:
Has a great plus size selection! Sizes from 12-24.
This is wear I was able to purchase my blazer cape for $36.76 (original $48.90)
Missguided:
Has curvy options of sizes 12-20, with two different cape blazer options.
They have a black one for $51.00. Cape-blazer black
And one in Blush for $51.00
Eloquii:
Has a very nice fully structured Blazer cape. Sizes 14-24.
Pictured in two ways below.
Get it for $119.90Here: Studio-capelet jacket
Simply Be: May have the nicest that I've seen online for plus sized women. They have three different Cape Blazers that I just love. The only issue, similar to Eloquii is the hundred dollar price...
